'Assassins Creed Unity' is free as a tribute to Notre-Dame
Ubisoft announced that it has decided to make available the game 'Assassins Creed Unity' completely free of charge for PC through its Uplay platform. The measure was taken in reaction to fire of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, accompanying the donation of 500 thousand euros for the reconstruction of the Gothic monument.
"We want to give everyone the opportunity to experience the grandeur and beauty of Notre-Dame in the best way we know," Ubisoft writes in his blog. "When we created 'Assassins Creed Unity' we created a closer connection to this incredible city and its landmarks - one of the most remarkable elements of the game was the extraordinary recreation of Notre-Dame."
Ubisoft hopes "everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy the virtual homage to this piece of monumental architecture." Note that the virtual cathedral available in 'Assassins Creed Unity' has been singled out in recent days as a potential resource to help rebuild Notre Dame, which was left without part of its coverage during the fire on Monday.
