'Fortnite' rival has already won more than 50 million players
The media success of 'Fortnite' may have marked the year 2018 but it seems that the 'battle royale' game of Epic Games has in 'Apex Legends' a worthy rival. The game developed by Respawn Entertainment and edited by Electronic Arts already has 50 million players, an impressive number considering that only one month has passed since it hit the market.
Even more impressive is the fact that 'Apex Legends' was available without any anticipation of the promotion, effectively catching the players off guard. But looking at the pace of 'rampant' player growth it is clear that 'Apex Legends' is the latest success in the online gaming market.
'Apex Legends' is available for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and Respawn Entertainment and EA are expected to look for ways to monetize the game from now on. Miguel Dias
