Wasteapp: this Quercus app helps you to recycle more and better

The app has just been released but is still only available in web and Android version, although a version is also planned for iOS smartphones and tablets.
The application of Quercus was created in partnership with the Vodafone Portugal Foundation with the aim of helping to better segregate waste. Every day each person produces about 1.32 kg of waste, which contributes to a total of 4.75 million tons of municipal waste, and only 16.5% is separated for recycling. With this tool the idea is that this percentage can improve, contributing to a more sustainable environment.
In addition to ordinary household waste, such as packaging and bottles, the application also raises doubts about how to recycle other objects that are no longer useful or necessary, with 50 different types of waste, including coffee capsules, cars or thermometers and other objects with mercury.
The app indicates the location of the nearest ecopoints but each user can help improve this data by contributing information.
For now you can access the app in web version(https://www.wasteapp.pt/) and Android(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tandeminnovation.wasteapp), but despite the information sent to the press also mention the version for iOS, at the time we wrote and tested the application this was not yet available in the App Store.
