Bacteria that produce electricity close to being used in technology

MIT engineers may have made an important discovery regarding the use of clean energy. The ability of bacteria to produce electricity to survive in environments with low levels of oxygen is known, and experiments are already being done to understand how they can be applied to the technology in batteries, for example.
However, there are obstacles to this claim. There are several types of bacteria that are capable of producing electricity, but some are better than others. Developing them in a laboratory is an expensive and difficult process, especially when it is not easy to identify the bacteria that produce the best electricity.
But as Futurism reveals, MIT engineers have developed a new technique that makes it easier to identify bacteria that produce electricity. This means that the application of the electricity produced by bacteria to the technology is thus closer and closer to being a reality.
The MIT study was able to calculate the polarizability of each bacterium. Now the MIT team will conduct tests with bacteria considered to be strong candidates for electricity production. Miguel Dias
