Apple Gold Watch by designer Largerfeld
The creative director of the house Chanel and fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld died this week at the age of 85, a moment that was duly noticed throughout the world of fashion and design. The most varied stories about Largerfeld begin to emerge, as the Hodinkee watch site tells us about the designer's relationship with Apple Watch.
Before Apple's official launch, Apple's chief designer, Jony Ive, offered Largerfeld a limited edition of the smart watch. This version, made from 18 carat gold and accompanied by a gold bracelet, was valued at least $ 25,000. However, it seems that Lagerfeld has never even connected Apple Watch, preferring to use it as an accessory.
"It seems that [Karl Lagerfeld] never made the 'set up', preferring to follow the Andy Warhol style and used simply as a piece of jewelery," read on the Hondinkee. As you can see from the photograph in which Lagerfeld appears with the watch (below), Apple Watch does not appear to be functional. Miguel Dias
