Vila Solar na AlemanhaInnovative solar power produces more electricity than it consumes

Germany passed a law in 2000 that obliges energy companies to pay cash to people who could return to the grid the surplus energy produced in their homes in a system called microgeneration.
After the creation of this law, there are in Germany whole villages that live only with solar energy, they are called solar villages. In these villages it is possible to find state-of-the-art technology in solar panels capable of producing about four times more energy than people in the villages consume.
One of the leading solar energy producing villages in Germany is located on the outskirts of Freiburg, the fourth largest city in the southern state of Baden Würtemberg.
The highlight in solar energy production in this village is due to the architect Rolf Dish, who designed the villages that exist in Freiburg, so the city became a leader in the construction of solar panels.
The houses that form the solar villages located in Freiburg, Germany do not have an active system of energy to maintain the temperature. Plates made of high technology were installed on the roofs and 30 cm thick foams were placed on the walls. The house has a triple glass and is sealed. Fresh air enters the environment on one level and is sucked through a funnel on the wall.
According to the chief architect of Freiburg, the heat coming out of the house heats the cold air entering. Thanks to the architect Rolf Dish, this solar village produces in its best days four times more energy than it needs. The energy left over is returned to the grid, and the villagers receive an energy supply. These solar cells, besides saving energy, still help the environment, since solar energy does not pollute nature.
Financing for solar villas in Germany
The solar villages have a special system of financing through the so-called solar fund (real estate funds) from small foreign investors. The value of the construction comes out around 500 euros per square meter, 10% more than a common house.
Solar villages grow like mushrooms in a country that has fewer hours of sunshine a year than Spain.

The Solar Village in Freiburg, Germany is the most modern solar building project in Europe. This village has 58 houses. The layout of the project is based on solar orientation. The residences with terraces are oriented to the south and the distance between the buildings is determined in such a way that it allows the insolation and the heating of each house by the incidence of solar radiation. The buildings have two and three storeys. The state pays 0.48 euros per kW / hour. The electricity of the Solar Village of Freiburg is generated by means of solar panels and the remaining energy is connected and sold to the public grid. Renewable Energy Magazine
