Hackers fazem-se passar pela Netflix. Tenha cuidado com o novo esquemaHackers pretend to be Netflix. Be careful with the new scheme
If you receive an email from Netflix you should be careful as the author may not be the company responsible for the streaming service but someone who wants to get personal information from your account.
The e-mail is part of a new scheme to circulate over the Internet and, according to Mirror, was detected by MailGuard. "We have temporarily unlocked your account due to issues with the automatic verification process," read in the email, which further asks the user to "verify all information and update the payment method".
The email in question is false and is just a way to direct Netflix subscribers to a page (posing as a corporate official) where they can enter all your payment information.
"Cybercriminals strive to incorporate the exact color scheme, logo, fonts and popular images commonly found on Netflix pages in order to convince the user that the e-mail has in fact originated in the entertainment company" , notify MailGuard.
The security company however points to spelling mistakes and spacing between words to serve as a warning to anyone who receives the email.
At the moment, these emails have only been detected in Australia but there is no way to ensure that it does not reach Europe and our country. For this reason, you should be alert and only respond to this type of emails when you are sure that it is legitimate. Miguel Dias
