Police chased Tesla in Autopilot mode after driver fell asleep
Tesla's Autopilot is once again a subject in the news after a Tesla driver, Alexander Samek, had fallen asleep at the wheel and was chased by police at a speed over 100km / h. Apparently, the semi-autonomous driving mode was active when the driver fell asleep.
The case will have occurred in the vicinity of the city of San Francisco, USA, with police have positioned their car in front of the Tesla to lead to automatic slowdown of the vehicle. The investigation will now look to determine if the driving mode was active at the time.
Note the Mirror that Tesla has made numerous warnings to Teslas drivers who remain vigilant even with the active Autopilot, and even integrated a series of preventive measures so that the hands of drivers remain behind the wheel during the course. Miguel Dias
