Google quer dar notícias de rádio através do seu assistente inteligente
Google wants to give radio news through its smart assistant
Television has been completely transformed over the last decade, from the traditional channel format with rigid programming to the advanced cable operator box systems that allow users to consume the programs through their availability. Many of the innovations have been spurred on the internet by platforms like YouTube that have allowed people to have their content when they want.
It's time for the radio to take the same treatment, Google said in a statement, announcing a service that allows users to build their own station, available on demand, throughout the day and customized with news of their interest. For the moment, the plans seem to be just the personalization of the experience in the consumption of news, offering playlists of subjects of interest to the user, extending to other forms of content and stories. Thus, the goal is to offer a service to the different routines of the users, be the wake up in the morning, the tasks of the day or while doing the training races.
Google reports that it has been working with different partners around the world, such as The Associated Press, the Hollywood Reporter, among others, to think about a unifying system. A prototype was built that crosses the Google News Artificial Intelligence to the voice context present in the Wizard. At all times, users can access the service and have immediate access to new stories or updates from previous ones that have already been watched. And the system obeys the voice commands of users, just ask to skip a news or repeat it, for example.
Any media can participate in this experiment by simply accessing the specifications guide to enter the content. Google explains that the prototype only allows you to enter loose stories that are segmented from a news program that helps contribute to the service news feed.
For now, the news audio system is only available in the United States, in English only. However, publications from any part of the world can contribute news if you use a format in Shakespeare's language. Sapo
