Estações Combustível Abandonadas no JapãoJapan loses 1,000 fuel stations per year

The world today is increasingly worried about the environment, because everyone knows that if it continues this way, soon planet Earth will not be able to withstand so much pollution coming from the exhausts of vehicles, garbage and everything else.To mitigate daily air pollution, large economic powers such as Japan are replacing fossil fuels with more environmentally friendly options.Gradually fossil fuels are taken off the roads of large countries. There are places that the decrease of these fuels can already be perceived and the environmental and economic benefits can be felt by the whole population.In Japan it is increasingly difficult to find a gas station to refuel diesel or gasoline vehicles. This is because the country is giving up these fuels harmful to the environment and human health. Fuel stations in the country are declining since 1994.

Japan has half the fuel stations it had in 1994
Japan in 1994 hit the country's record at petrol stations. In the year cited, more than 60 thousand filling stations were registered. However, from 1994 onwards, the number began to fall and today, in 2018, the Asian country has around 30 thousand fuel stations.Even reducing by half, Japan still has many fuel stations that are scattered all over the country.

There are regions in Japan where the nearest gas station is 150 kilometers away, which makes it very difficult for people with gasoline or diesel vehicles to live.
Main causes for the decline of fossil fuel stations in JapanThere are many causes of downsizing in Japan.
-One is that more and more Japanese choose not to have a car, due to the continuous expense with the vehicle and also the air pollution;
-Another reason has to do with the law that requires station owners to modernize and repair the older gas equipment that has made them decide to close the doors of their business;
-Another major cause of downsizing in Japan has to do with the earthquakes that are common in the country as they cause long queues to refuel vehicles because of the lack of fuel and the difficulty tankers have in reaching some áreas.

Is the decrease in fuel stations due to electric cars?
Hybrid and electric cars are gaining ground in many countries, including Japan, so gasoline and diesel cars will be replaced little by little.In addition to not needing fuel, in the case of fully electric vehicles, there has also been a noticeable decrease in the search for mechanic services and parts exchange.Click here to see pictures of abandoned gas stations in Japan.All this is reducing the demand for fossil fuel cars that has been very strong for decades.Japan is one of the countries that has witnessed a sharp drop in oil consumption. This reality increases Japan's growing commitment to renewable energy consumption and this only tends to improve the air, the environment and the lives of citizens living in this country

known for its technology
Efforts to replace fossil fuels are bearing fruit, as Japan has a target of installed capacity of up to 64 GW by 2030, but that goal can be achieved 10 years earlier, in 2020.All of this will help the Japanese to use clean energy instead of the pollutants and further expand their market to the whole world.
