The Chinese manufacturer has filed a patent application for a model of mobile device that folds.

Oppo may join the group of manufacturers preparing folding smartphones - possibly by 2019 - such as Samsung, Lenovo or Huawei.The company has filed a patent application with the Chinese registration body in September, according to Ubergizmo, which cites the publication Mobielkopen. The document refers to the design and not the mode of operation, showing different versions for the position of the cameras.

The "double" form is the same, and identical to what has been proposed by other manufacturers who are betting on the concept. The model when "open" is in a tablet format, when closed the screen goes to the external front of the device, more specifically to remember the proposal advanced by Samsung earlier this month.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Oppo has filed a patent application for a collapsible mobile phone. A few months ago the Chinese manufacturer had registered another terminal that could be folded from top to bottom, instead of folding from left to right, book type, like the one presented this time.
