After failed updates, company will focus on the quality of Windows 10

Microsoft released the October 10 update of Windows 10 on October 2, however, four days later it was withdrawn because of a problem that generated data erasure. After what happened with the April and October updates, Microsoft has promised that it will pay more attention to the quality of future releases.They face a rather complex challenge. According to figures from Microsoft itself, more than 700 million computers run Windows 10. Even more striking, there are 16 million combinations of hardware and drivers on those computers, and the updates should work correctly in each of them .That's the reason Windows Insider exists, which users can support by reporting the problems that lie along the way. It would be impossible for a single internal team to handle it. The company has set two short-term goals. First, they will be more transparent in communicating how they develop and test new Windows 10 updates, a move we can see in 2019.Second, your development teams will have more responsibilities to provide higher-quality code, always taking into account feedback from users. "So far, our approach has been focused almost exclusively on quickly detecting and solving problems, and we will increase our focus on transparency and communication," said Michael Fortin, corporate vice president of Windows.
