Company says iPhone XR is its most popular model

In recent weeks there has been much talk about sales of the iPhone XR. An alleged slowdown in production made one think that the model was not being sold as Apple expected. However, an executive of the company has come out to clear any doubts. It seems that the adoption of the terminal is going according to plan.
Greg Joswiak, vice president of product marketing, told CNET that the iPhone XR "has been the most popular iPhone every day since the day it was available." Following the line of the last decisions taken by Apple, the executive did not want to enter into the issue of how many have sold.
At the beginning of last November, during the financial results of its last fiscal quarter, Apple announced that they will stop communicating the units sold of their devices, since it is a fact that does not necessarily represent the state of their business. The move was not well received by investors and was immediately reflected in the value of their shares in the stock market.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Nov. 19 that Apple had cut production of the XR and XS iPhone because it had not met sales expectations. Shortly afterwards it was reported that the economic model lowered its price in Japan to try to increase demand, which was below expectations in that country.
Faced with the speculation that has emerged in recent weeks, Joswiak's remarks serve to try to counteract reports related to the production line. It is probably the only official Apple information we see about it. The fact is that with each launch of the iPhone we see very similar rumors after several weeks on sale, data that soon after were buried by the financial results. H. T.
