AI already creates perfumes

If you thought that humans are the only ones to have the ability and sensitivity to create perfumes and fragrances then the latest IBM Research project may surprise you. A team from the technological research division will have created an Artificial Intelligence (AI) that is capable of creating perfumes.
The AI in question was called Filira - reference to the Greek goddess of perfumes - and is capable of creating new formulas for perfumes. The AI was created after being 'fed' with thousands of different materials and already existing perfumes, having been able to identify patterns to create unprecedented combinations.
Engadget says that researchers' aim with Filira is to create new scents that can be used in fabrics and cleaning products and, of course, always as a tool to be used by experts in the art of creating perfumes.
