Young people prefer to communicate by text messages, study says
A recent study conducted by Common Sense Media with a total of 1,141 participants between the ages of 13 and 17 indicates that young people prefer to communicate via text messages (35%).
Mirror says that the 2012 version of the same study had concluded that the preferred way young people communicate was in person, which points to a "fundamental change in how we interact with each other."
Although they can not stop communicating via their smartphones, many young people (44%) get angry when they are with someone who can not leave their mobile device, with another 53% admitting that they are distracted by what is happening on the social networks.
