Robots to cut 75 million jobs
Millions of jobs will be replaced in the next four years by robots. However, the setting is not as black as it may seem.According to a report from the World Economic Forum, quoted by the BBC, automation will put about 75 million jobs at risk but, on the other hand, should create about 133 million new jobs. The Swiss think-tank predicts that the advancement of automation will free millions of employees for other functions but many more jobs, he warns, may disappear without a substitute.Robots should replace positions in accounting firms, factories and post offices, as well as secretarial and cashier functions. These workers, says the World Economic Forum, will need to upgrade their skills.Other professions, on the other hand, will require employees for jobs created by automation, particularly at the level of data analysis, software creators, social networking experts, customer service or teachers.
