Researchers create a foldable screen tablet like never before
At the same time, manufacturers of screens and mobile devices are about to start betting on foldable screen smartphones, a concept that can quickly evolve into other types of products and give rise to gadgets like we've never seen before.
It was precisely such a product that Queen's University's Media Lab in Canada developed, a little gadget reminiscent of an ancient papyrus that could wrap around the 7.5-inch screen. This 'papyrus' was called MagicScroll.
TechCrunch says that the researchers' idea is not to launch the product on the market as it is but to "examine notions that the screens do not have to be flat" and, who knows, "create a device that can be rolled into the shape of an object as small as a pen. "
