Not yet this year that Google will debut its Pixel Watch
If you're waiting for Google to launch a smartwatch, maybe you'd better pull a chair. According to the Tom's Guide portal, the company will not debut a wearable this year, so Pixel Watch should stay in the drawer for a few more months. Many hoped the watch would be announced in October, alongside the company's new smartphones, but an interview by Miles Barr eventually dispelled hope. According to the director of engineering for Wear OS, Google has not yet been able to create a satisfactory proposal in this field. It is recalled that Evan Blass, popular and reliable leaker of the technological universe, announced in May that the watch would be released in 2018.Barr also said that Google has been investing its efforts in relations with some manufacturers in the sector. This week, at IFA, several of these partners have shown new smart watches.Although the giant has no plans to release the watch this year, Google has heavily invested in revitalizing Wear OS and the Google Fit app. In addition, Qualcomm is expected to introduce a new processor for wearables as early as next month, which should spur Google to accelerate processes.
