Sony 'atira a toalha ao chão' e acaba com produção da PS Vita no Japão
Sony 'throws the towel on the floor' and ends production of PS Vita in Japan

Over the past few years, Sony has kept the PS Vita laptop beyond the PlayStation 4 market, yet it has failed to win the notebook market and rival Nintendo 3DS and even less with the Nintendo Switch. Well, it looks like Sony is ready to throw the towel on the floor.
Famitsu magazine (via Gematsu) tells that PS Vita's production will be discontinued in Japan in 2019, confirming that it still has no plans for a successor.
"We currently have no plans for a new handheld device. In Japan, we will produce PlayStation Vita until 2019. From there, shipments to stores will end, "Sony Interactive Entertainment senior vice president Hiroyuki Oda told the Japanese magazine.
