"Redes sociais são vulneráveis a uso indevido e corrupção"
"Social networks are vulnerable to misuse and corruption"

It was during yesterday that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey (pictured above) and Facebook's COO Sheryl Sandberg (pictured above) were heard in the US Senate over alleged foreign influences on their digital platforms .Dorsey was keen to point out that he "is not proud of how open and free [Twitter] exchange has been turned into a weapon" and Sandberg once again admitted that Facebook "was slow to act" after foreign interference in the US election. But neither the admission of guilt freed the executives responsible for two of the largest social networks from being targeted for criticism."We have discovered unlimited potential for the sake of social networking, but we also find out how social networks are vulnerable to misuse and corruption," said Sen. Richard Burr. The senator also noted how social networks have been used to incite violence and cause chaos as a result of the dissemination of misinformation.Tell Time that during the hearing was clear the distrust of the senators in relation to the two technology, so there may be news soon in how the platforms are managed. "I am skeptical that you can truly deal with the challenges yourself. I believe Congress will have to act, "Senator Mark Warner said, opening doors to social media regulation through new laws. This is a possibility to which CEO Jack Dorsey is apparently receptive, stating that "what worked 12 years ago does not work nowadays."
