Bigger and better. This is the goal of the fourth generation of Apple Watch

Apple took advantage of today's event at the Steve Jobs Theater at its headquarters to introduce the Apple Watch Series 4, the fourth generation of its smart watch which is also the most ambitious with regard to design. With a larger display, users will be able to access more information and 'play' a bit more with the faces and themes available.During the presentation Apple was keen to make clear the dominant position of Apple Watch in the market, stating that it was the watch with more sales around the world. Still, Cupertino's technology believes it can do better with this new generation. To do this, the Apple Watch Series 4 will continue to focus on services to keep the user connected, fitness apps and health related features.Apple says that the display is 30% compared to the predecessor model, with the smaller version having a 40mm display and the larger one having 44mm. This means that Apple has had to redesign the user interface, looking for new ways to make Apple Watch convenient for the user, namely by allowing display faces to be customized with the apps and services most users use.The Apple Watch Series 4 contains a new processor that delivers twice as much performance over the Series 3, all for a seamless experience tailored to the user's pace of life.With the Apple Watch Series 4 the Cupertino technology wants to help the user stay safe, with the accelerometer and gyroscope being able to detect falls. Once the fall is detected, a message is automatically sent to the emergency contacts. "It's a feature we hope they do not need, but it's good to know it's there," Apple's representative on stage said.
Apple also revealed that Apple Watch will be able to take an electrocardiogram exam. Simply open the application, put your finger on the display and 30 seconds later you will receive a rating of your heart rate status. This classification is then converted to a PDF that can be shared with doctors.
As for the battery, Apple says that the Apple Watch Series 4 will have battery with autonomy for the whole day, so just recharge at the end of the day.
The Apple Watch Series 4 will be available in silver, gold, dark gray and of course users will be able to choose from the many bracelets already available in the market. As for price, the Apple Watch Series 4 will be available in its GPS version for $ 399 and the mobile version for $ 499. The pre-purchase period begins this Friday, the 14th, and will hit the market on September 21. Portugal will not be part of the launch territories.
