TESLA

Tesla planeia melhorar segurança dos seus veículos com piscas automáticos
Company plans to improve safety of its vehicles with automatic blinkers

Although all drivers appreciate the use of the blinkers, the truth is that not everyone complies with the rule that obliges them to turn these small flashing lights on a change of direction or track. In critical cases, the blinking of the blinkers can lead to fatal accidents, and that is exactly what Tesla wants to prevent.According to a patent registered by the American manufacturer, the company is developing a technology that makes blinkers an automatic procedure. The submitted document explains that the idea is to make the car detect with some anticipation the intention of the driver to change direction or track. Then the car analyzes the surrounding space to detect if there are other cars nearby. If this is the case, the active technology blinks so the international press questions the feasibility of the idea, since Tesla claims that the Autopilot does not need any sensors to monitor the driver to fully function. In this case, where the driver's intention may be abrupt, the system must be fast and accurate in the analysis in order to provide the best possible response taking into account the surrounding environment.

There are several cars that draw the driver's attention when the driver does not turn the turn signals after changing directions during the journey, but these notifications are only possible with a post decision analysis. The system devised by Tesla works prior to that moment, which makes everything more difficult to realize.Although relevant, given the future of the automotive sector, this patent may never materialize into a final product. That being so, it may only occur in several years. In some cases, patents serve only to prevent competition from developing a similar idea under the umbrella of its trademark.
