Slack creator turns Windows 95 into app for macOS, Windows and Linux
Since being discontinued, Windows 95, the first version of Microsoft's operating system as it is known today, has already been adapted to Apple Watch, Android smartwatches and even the Xbox One. But Felix Rieseberg, the well-known programmer responsible for group communication Slack, decided to turn the OS into an app that can be used on recent computers.
You can download the app code and installers for free from Hithub, being compatible with the macOS, Windows and Linux operating systems. In total, the download takes 129 MB, but when it is running it does not spend more than 200 MB of RAM.
When you use Windows 95 you can enable your most popular applications, such as Wordpad, Paint or Minesweeper, to work just like in the old days. Only Internet Explorer is not yet working as expected.
