YouTube creates list of 18 smartphones recommended for video consumption
During the presentation of Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 in New York, Samsung underlined the fact that the smartphone was considered a "YouTube Signature Device" for the year 2019. The certification was unknown , but the release of a list, by the video platform, clarified the status of the new Note. The YouTube Device Report, released this week, is a list of the best smartphones recommended for video playback on that website. The selected equipment has support for 360 degree video, HDR, 4K and other technologies.In this first list, YouTube integrated 18 Android phones and left out the iPhone. Note 9 is the main highlight, but there is still room for gadgets like Pixel 2 XL, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, OnePlus 6, LG G7 Thinq, Xiaomi Mi 8 or HTC U12.Given that YouTube, Google and Android are all part of the same company, it is no wonder that no Apple equipment has won a place in the ranking.
