Radeon Pro WX 8200 ensures savings to audiovisual media content creators
AMD recently announced the launch of the new Radeon Pro WX 8200. Graphics, as the brand explains, is an economical solution for content creators looking for power. With 8GB of ECC RAM, the card offers a performance of 10.8 teraflops, a value that comes close to the results of the AMD Radeon Pro WX 9100, but which costs half the price of this solution: $ 999.The WX 8200 is a less powerful version of the WX 9100 which, despite the similarities (same memory bandwidth and 14 nanometer architecture), offers only 8GB of RAM (vs. 16GB on the WX 9100).The basic logic of the Radeon Pro range lies in sacrificing speed for the precision and consistency of the performance of your devices. The boards of this line are mostly used to run video game design, video editing, and other design applications such as Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Dassault SolidWorks.Compared to gaming graphics, these versions can support 10-bit content development programs via OpenGL in Photoshop. This is difficult to achieve with graphics at this price level, but this AMD effort will lower the entry level in the range. As a result, they are likely to see one of the competing brands presenting their own economic version for this segment.
