Netflix speed test now shows latency and upload

The Netflix speed test site, Fast.com, has been updated and now goes on to show not only how fast your internet is, but also how the connection is latched and uploaded. The page now offers a "more information" option in which it presents both analysis details. To those who do not know, Fast.com is a platform created by Netflix in 2016 with the proposal to facilitate verification, showing if the internet connection was compatible with the contracting of the streaming service.
However, until this Tuesday (17), the site only showed the download speed, that is, the only information essential to Netflix. The goal was to make the less experienced user not be confused with the various numbers and names of the analysis.
To avoid problems, when a person accesses the link, the site automatically starts the connection test and shows only the download speed on the larger number. In this way, when you click on "more information", the page presents other data such as upload, latency and even where the server of the company contracted and the IP number.
Already in the configurations, it is possible to define maximum and minimum numbers of parallel connections as well as the duration time of the tests.
It is worth remembering that for this analysis, the site downloads and uploads a considerable amount of data, so it is important not to do many tests with limited data plans such as smartphones.
Overall, according to Netflix, more than 500 million tests have been performed since its inception in 2016.
