Galaxy S10 will have different fingerprint scanners
Galaxy S10 will have different fingerprint scanners

Next year will be the Galaxy S line’s nth anniversary and it seems that Samsung is going to throw everything into it. Whether it makes complete sense or not. At least the Korean OEM will give buyers their choice of crazy with not one, not even two, but three models to choose from. And the three won’t just differ in their number of cameras or price either. According to the latest media report, they will also differ in tAccording to the growing number of leaks, the three models are internally codenamed “Beyond 0”, “Beyond 1”, and “Beyond 2” (it’s a programmer thing). If you thought the regular and plus model distinction already made choosing difficult, imagine having three very different models to choose from. Curiously, none of the three will have a typical rear fingerprint scanner.
That’s not to say that they will all have that much-delayed fingerprint on-display/in-display fingerprint scanner. Beyond 1 and Beyond 2 will but, curiously, Beyond 0, the budget option of the three, will supposedly have its fingerprint scanner on the power button at the side of the phone.
Now, this is far from being a novel design as Sony has had that on its Xperias for years. However, Sony has been unable to bring that feature to the US, allegedly because of legal issues. It will be interesting to hear how Samsung will work around that.
All About Samsung also says that the Beyond 2 will have Samsung’s first triple camera sensor. That will include a main 12 megapixel f/1.5 sensor, a 16 megapixel f/2.4 wide-angle sensor, and a 13 megapixel f/2.4 zoom camera. Huawei has, of course, blazed the trail for triple cameras on smartphones but the benefits of that feature still has to be justified.he type of fingerprint scanner experience you will get.
