Windows will use machine learning to schedule updates for less uncomfortable hours
How often are you not bothered while producing a job, watching a movie or having fun with a video game, with a pop up message that Windows needs to do an urgent update? Although users can now delay or set a specific time for updates, Microsoft wants to eliminate notifications at once, and make the process almost invisible. The latest Windows update note provides a more adaptive and proactive system, that is, an optimization that defines which parts of the upgrade process should be installed online and offline. To do so, Windows now has a Microsoft-trained "predictive model" that analyzes and studies user habits to establish the best time to run the update. In this way, the system checks whether the user is working on the device or computer before restarting. And even when you're away, Windows tries to determine whether it's a temporary or prolonged absence. The internal tests were promising, moving on to the beta versions available to Windows Insider members before the official release. To find out all the fixes and improvements planned for Windows 10, check out the production notes on the Microsoft blog.
