You can play Alto's Odyssey for free on Android now
After a paid launch in iOS, the great game Alto's Odyssey arrives with months of delay to Android devices, but with a crucial advantage: the producer Snowman reviewed the business model and started to make it available in a free-to-play format, and the game is supported by commercials. The game fits in the genre "endless running", in this case a person is controlled to move in a snowboard, to slide by a mountain. Like other titles of the genre, you do not have direct control over the character, who slides non-stop, just touch the screen to jump over obstacles and perform some acrobatic maneuvers. The gameplay is very simple, but the challenge is enormous, because there are many dangers that you have to avoid, between ramps, rocks, among others. The game has a small story, which refers to the chased game in pursuit of fleeing reindeer, so whenever you see one must touch to score points. The game also has some radical maneuvers, such as using walls to project, sliding between cables, jumping between balloons and other combos that must be performed to get better scores. It also offers a Zen mode, which removes goals and punctuation, so that you slide through the infinite scenery without further worries. And the Photography mode, where you can pause the game and capture photos of the best moments, being able to zoom and set the captured area and then share the postcard with friends. Also noteworthy is the very pleasant audiovisual composition, in which the surrounding music merges with the icy landscapes of the mountains and forests. You can download the Android version that has just been released, but also iOS, which has a cost of 5.49 euros.
