Spotify Lite: a solution for anyone who wants to listen to music saving data and memory
Spotify is one of the latest digital services to create a Lite version of your main application. In this lighter version, the streaming program decided to present the same core features, but withdrew what it considers extra to the essential experience it provides. The intention with this release is to penetrate emerging markets where mobile data is less plentiful, the internet is not very fast and the average storage of smartphones is not as vast as you'd like.Spotify Lite presents some fracture differences. The navigation bar, for example, has only three distinct sections: Home, Search, and Favorites. The Spotify Connect feature, which lets you transfer the playback session directly to other equipment connected to the same Wi-Fi, has also been removed, as well as the options for saving and listening to music offline. Another of the things that is impossible to do with this version is to select specific songs to listen to, and will be limited to random playback, even being a subscriber of the Premium mode.
The good news however is that the app takes up only 15MB of phone space and features a data control system that allows you to set a maximum ceiling for monthly internet usage: 250MB, 500MB, 750MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB are some of the limits you can apply.
The application is officially available in a limited set of countries, but any user can download and install APK.
Note that despite everything, Spotify Lite is still in beta, so you can receive new features over the coming weeks.
