New partnership allows Uber drivers to have another source of revenue
The transportation platform has partnered with the American startup Cargo that will allow its drivers to sell chargers, tablets or snacks during their travels.Startup Cargo, which has partnerships with brands such as Kellogg's, Starbucks and the Mars Wrigley Confectionery, provides these boxes for free. The only requirement is that drivers have at least a minimum rating of 4.7, Cargo's founder and CEO Jeff Cripe told TechCrunch.Drivers earn a commission of one dollar (about 0.86 euros) or 25% of the retail price for each product sold, an amount that is paid by the Cargo. The company claims that this may represent an extra income of about $ 1,200 a year for every driver. The boxes distributed by Cargo can be installed in the center console of automobiles, but are already available only in the cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles in the United States of América.
