Brazil ranks second in global ranking of Internet offenses
São Paulo - A global survey on cyberbullying shows that Brazil is the second country in which digital media offenses are more frequent.According to the survey conducted by the Ipsos Institute between March 23 and April 6 with 20,800 people, 29% of the Brazilian parents or guardians consulted reported that their children were victims of online violence. In the previous survey, released in 2016, this index was 19%.Brazil only loses from India, where 37% said children or adolescents were treated offensively - the overall average is 17%.The survey also shows that more than half of Brazilian parents say that virtual aggression came from a child's classmate - most of them through social networks.In time: among the 28 nations, Russia is the only country where parents have not reported debullying cases on the internet. The previous year, 9% of Russians had pointed out that their children were victims of virtual offenses.
