Company has new proposal for users who need "hard" smartphones
It is the successor to the "charismatic" Cat S60 and, according to the manufacturer, improves some of the most popular features, and remains "robust."The new Cat S61 has a reinforced aluminum cast structure and has been designed to withstand consecutive cement drop tests, at a height of up to 1,80m. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology and has been assigned IP68 rating in resistance to dust and water. According to the manufacturer, it was tested in water to a depth of three meters, for one hour.








Highlights include enhanced FLIR thermal imaging capability, the integration of a laser-assisted distance measurement tool, and a sensor that measures indoor air quality.The S61 has a 5.2-inch FHD glossy touch screen, optimized for outdoor use, suitable for use with gloves or with wet fingers. The rear camera has 16MP and 8MP front camera, allowing 4K video recording.

The new Cat smartphone features Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 2.2GHz octa-core processor and offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage capacity with MicroSD. The battery is 4,500mAh. the version of Android is the Oreo, upgradeable to P.The phone is already on sale in the Portuguese market from www.catphones.com and in stores such as Fnac, Worten or Phone House, for a recommended retail price of € 949.90.
