VOLVO

And after the cars, Volvo proposes yacht that "parks" alone in tight places

Volvo Penta has revealed that it is developing a yacht parking solution which is expected to be ready by 2020. The system proposed by Volvo's marine solutions subsidiary promises to be able to make adjustments to wind and tide conditions, "Make it seem like the sea is stationary," says Björn Ingemanson, the company's presidente.
The solution was demonstrated during a Volvo Ocean Race in Gothenburg, where test boats were moored. The Volvo Penta boat approaches the dock between two Volvo Ocean 65 yachts, with a total length of 72.6 feet.
In the video you can see the captain simply adjusting the system and then, "hands in the air", just watching while the boat "fits" in a relatively narrow place.
