AirFly: the adapter that will put your AirPads to work with almost all gadgets

AirPods are one of the most successful products in Apple's recent history, but aesthetic achievement prevents them from achieving functional perfection. Or at least prevented, until AirFly came on the scene. This new accessory, developed by Twelve South, makes these Bluetooth headsets compatible with any device. It is enough for this to have a 3.5mm headphone jack.



The dongle, which is priced at 45 euros, serves to connect to a device through this physical port and then resolves the issue of pairing with AirPods on its own. This time it is not even necessary for the terminal to have Bluetooth support.The company emphasizes that this accessory is thin and easy to carry. Charging is via a micro-USB port, and can be used with any other Bluetooth headset models. The autonomy of this component is 8 hours - a period longer than the autonomy of the AirPods.



Twelve South states that the most useful feature of this accessory relates to uses on the move, with entertainment equipment installed in airplanes or trains, where Bluetooth does not exist or can not be used by passengers. If you have older equipment, without this wireless connectivity solution, AirFly can be an equally competent solution to articulate both gadgets. With regard to these cases, the company suggests another type of use: in the gym, with devices that integrate multimedia features but that do not have the sound activated.
