Company advances with proposal to improve wireless connections at home
Integrated into its Net TV and Voice service offering, the system was designated as Super Wi-Fi, with different options for customers who need to reconfigure the wireless signal distribution in their rooms. In the first solution, Super Wi-Fi Premium, several emitters are installed in the house, allowing the equipment to automatically connect to the charged signal with greater power. In this way, users can move around the house with a tablet or smartphone, picking up the nearest and uninterrupted signal. The operator bases this new offer on Wi-Fi Mesh technology, a system that began to replace traditional wireless routers, ruling out the need to use extenders or solutions to carry the signal through the power grid.
A mesh local network uses a small, directly connected, non-hierarchical infrastructure of small emitters, cooperating with each other to better diffuse the wireless signal in the areas where the points are installed. The Super Wi-Fi Premium package has an extra monthly fee of 9.90 euros and an installation cost of 50 euros, and includes antivirus and malware protection. Another solution available is the Super Wi-Fi Extra package, which introduces a second wireless network inside the home to increase the wireless signal, by paying a monthly fee of 2.49 euros.According to the operator, this service will be free for new accessions in the different packages offered by the operator.
