NEXT iPhone: YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CONTROL YOUR SMARTPHONE ALMOST WITHOUT MOVING
The Cupertino giant is already already working on the next generation of iPhones and the latest news indicates that it can dispense with touch screen and show a gradual curve from top to bottom. However, new bets could take more than two years to reach users, according to Bloomberg.Citing sources familiar with the projects, the publication says users will only have to move their finger close to the screen, without having to touch it effectively and taking into account the proximity of the finger on the screen.Another novelty that may be in the gutter is a gradually curved display from top to bottom. It is worth remembering that the iPhone X has a 2.5K OLED screen of 5.8 inches and that presents a slight curve at the bottom, but in an almost imperceptible way.Apple is expected to announce three new smartphones in 2018. According to a report published by Bloomberg, which cites sources close to the company, one of them will be the largest iPhone ever, and the display may even exceed the dimensions of the Note 8.
However, the technological giant may also bet on MicroLED technology, an evolution in relation to OLED technology. Using light-emitting compounds other than those used in OLED, MicroLED technology makes it possible to make thinner, more energy-efficient displays without sacrificing image quality.
The news, also advanced by Bloomberg, states that Apple's goal in creating its own screens will be to reduce the company's dependence on South Korean rival Samsung and Japan's Sharp.
