Tesla chama às oficinas 123 mil veículos devido a "corrosão excessiva"
Tesla calls workshops 123,000 vehicles due to "excessive corrosion"
In an email sent to owners of the S model, Tesla assures that the problem that led to the recall did not in any way call into question the safety of the vehicle or passengers. The American brand ensures that "excessive corrosion" occurs only with vehicles moving in regions with very low temperatures.'The recall comes as the company led by businessman Elon Musk faces an investigation into a car accident that killed a deadly X-type vehicle last week. The car collided with a barrier on a mountainside highway in California and was hit by two other vehicles. According to local authorities, the Tesla began to burn even before being hit by other vehicles. The 38-year-old Tesla driver died in a nearby hospital shortly after the accident.Last Tuesday, Tesla acknowledged on official Twitter that "it is not yet known what happened in the moments leading up to the accident." That same day, the National Transportation Safety Council announced the opening of a federal investigation into the accident. The announcement was accompanied by a fall in the value of the shares of the company on the New York Stock Exchange. The research is particularly interested in the Autopilot system, which allows a certain number of maneuvers without the intervention of the driver.By 2016, an American driver had already died while driving a Tesla Model S equipped with Autopilot.
