A Uber também tem camiões autónomos e andam a conduzir nos Estados Unidos
Uber owns independent trucks and is driving in the United States

When Uber acquired Otto in 2016, it introduced long-haul freight lorries into its fleet. The first delivery was a load of 2,000 Budweiser boxes between Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. By 2017 he was already in touch with Texas and California, and earlier this year he began to travel long-distance, linking the coast east to west, from California to Florida.Uber has now unveiled a promotional video showing two circuits in Arizona, Sanders and Topock, highlighting their ambition to travel across the United States. The company just raised the tip of the veil mentioning that trucks have made thousands of trips to date but without detailing what kind of cargo they hauled and the number of assistance vehicles and drivers operating in the fleet.
According to the video, a conventional truck picks up the customer's cargo and delivers it to the Uber operations center. From there, the autonomous trucks of the company take over the trailer and travel the long distance to the center of Uber near the destination, under the supervision of a driver of assistance. Another normal truck is already in place to transport the cargo to the final customer.
