Malware infects more than 500,000 Android phones through four applications
Google the better at detecting malicious apps in the Play Store, but that does not mean it will not pass through your fingers any more. According to SophosLabs, the more rigid systems are even causing the perpetrators of these attacks to develop increasingly complex software to circumvent the security barriers of the operating system. And that's exactly what happened to several recently identified apps that contain malware that inadvertently and timely advertising on your smartphone.The malicious code was disguised in the lines of the apps and was only activated six hours after it was installed.
The applications that carried the malware were QR code readers and a digital compass, but Google's technical team has already removed them from application stores. The malware in question is known by the name Andr / HiddnAd-AJ.Sophos, which is a cybersecurity company, underlines the importance of checking the source of the applications it downloads from the Play Store, even if they appear legitimate at first glance. The applications targeted here have been discharged more than 500 thousand times before they have been identified as dangerous.
