Facebook can access your data even if you do not have an account on the network
Data security on the internet is a subject that has come to the fore among the means of technology. Much of this is due to the recent case where Facebook is accused of leaking data from 50 billion social network users. This includes information about the sites and apps you visit, your use of our services or those sites or apps, as well as information that developers and publishers of websites or apps offer to you or to us. "Adguard has done a recent research to understand how this information is transferred within this logic. The site reviewed, based on an automated platform, the top Google Play apps, installing on a device and analyzing traffic and code. In all, 2,556 apps were downloaded for the study.With this, the group found that 88% of apps connect to third-party servers and 41% use the Facebook Audience Network service. One of the most alarming data is that no application has left explicit or asked the user permission on the path that this information could go through.
The team also discovered that it is not just Facebook that uses this method to acquire user information. In the analysis, Google services like Crashlytics and Double Click, similar to Facebook Audience Network, appeared in 65% of the apps. However, it is important to keep in mind that this study was only done on Google Play, without considering other application stores and web services.
The third largest company pointed to in the survey is Yahoo, with 11% data usage. Still appear in the list Twitter (4%) and Alibaba (3%).
