PURELIFI
LiFi network technology demonstrated with call via Skype
At a time when you think of the 5G generation in telecommunications, Wi-Fi wireless networks are evolving into Li-Fi technology. This new system is being tested a few years ago and is expected to massify from 2018, aiming to unify all electronic devices online, especially the basis of the internet of things.Projecting that by 2020 there will be about 20 billion interconnected devices, the networks are being adapted to meet the needs of the industry. The Li-Fi system can open thousands of additional communication channels and should be the major wireless standard in the coming years.
PureLiFi, which plans to take the lead in the emerging technology segment, has taken to Movile World Congress the alleged first devices with integrated LiFi links for demonstration. During the event the first call via Skype was made through a smartphone and a laptop equipped with LiFi, to demonstrate the speed of communication between the device and the high-speed bidirectional network through LED lights.
The size of the technology has been one of the obstacles of its massification, but the pureLiFi solution is small enough to be integrated into devices such as tablets, laptops and smartphones, as you can see in the gallery photographs.
