Huawei may be the first to launch smartphone with 512GB of storage
While the external memory of a smartphone can be pulled up to the domain of terabytes, the internal one is still in the meander of the gigabytes. The bold proposals raise the brand to 256GB, but Huawei wants to open a new chapter in this sector with the launch of a mobile phone that has a storage capacity of 512GB.The news is not official, but the configuration was detected in the list of equipment licensed by the authority responsible for communications in China (TENAA). The Phone Radar, responsible for this discovery, underlines that the feature is not associated with any specific model, so it can arrive already in the next flagship of the brand, the P20.Note that TENAA is the source of many rumors related to the Chinese smartphone industry, as all the manufacturers there have to respond to this government agency. However, it is never certain that the equipment and configurations that are reported to it will integrate real or tradable devices.The code name associated with this smartphone is "NEO-ALoo" and the document confirms that in addition to the 512GB of memory, the device still integrates 6GB of RAM.
More important is to find out which manufacturer will be in charge of producing these memory units mentioned here, since Huawei does not manufacture the storage drives of its mobile phones. It is known, however, that Samsung began producing the first 512GB mobile storage drives in December.
