Audi mostra imagens do Pop.Up Next, o táxi aéreo da Airbus
Audi shows images of Pop.Up Next, the Airbus air taxiLast year Airbus unveiled the Pop.Up, its autonomous modeling conceptual vehicle, whose passenger capsule allows it to engage in both air and land modules. The aviation company will take to the Geneva Motor Show, which runs from 8 to 18 this month, a new version of the vehicle, Pop.Up Next, highlighted by the redesign that was in charge of Audi and Italdesign .The vehicle will be fully electric and designed for automatic horizontal and vertical mobility. Although it is not anticipated when air taxis can be a reality, Airbus has been testing for a number of vehicles such as Alpha One, even for flights under one minute. The idea is to solve traffic problems by transporting passengers between cities across the sky.

Pop.Up Next will use different technologies in the interaction between people and the machine, such as facial and voice recognition, eye tracking and tactile functionality through a 49-inch screen available inside the two-seater cabin.According to Italdesign, the vehicle is expected to arrive in 2030 to the most congested cities. The project is based on different conceptual bases, the first one being an artificial intelligence platform that, through user indications, manages the complexity of the route, offering alternative routes when necessary.
The second base is the passenger's own modular capsule, designed to circulate in the ground and sky, as previously mentioned. When you need to travel the roads, the capsule will be integrated into a carbon fiber chassis to turn into a car. The module can also be integrated into other means of transport, such as trains or hyperloops.
To complete this futuristic vision, typical of a science fiction film, when the passenger arrives at his destination, the terrestrial and air modules return autonomously to the recharging stations, waiting for the next client ... Watch the conceptual video of the air vehicle.
