A clock of ten thousand years. This is the new project of the CEO of Amazon
Between running the e-commerce giant Amazon and the aeronautical agency Blue Origin, there is still time for Jeff Bezos to carry out some personal projects. Among them is the 10,000 Year Clock, a watch that, as Gizmodo says, is meant to remind you of the humility for the long-term effects of our actions.
In addition to funding of $ 42 million, Bezos also contributed to the project with the location, a remote mountain in the state of Texas, USA. The clock is being built in a cave at a depth of 152 meters, and a short timelapse video was shared through Bezos' Twitter page that shows that.
It is expected that it will eventually be possible to visit this clock but, given that it is several hours away from the nearest airport, it is expected to be a challenging initiative.
