LG enters 2018 with new strategy for smartphones

LG does not plan to continue to follow in the footsteps of rival smartphone makers, choosing instead to follow its own strategy that will see it launch new mobile devices "when necessary."
"We will launch new smartphones when needed. But we will not launch them just because our rivals do it, "said LG Electronics vice president Cho Sung-Jin during CES 2018.
The executive was asked about LG's upcoming brand-name smartphone - the LG G7 - and said the company would focus on "keeping existing models longer, for example by revealing more models of variants of the G and V lines ".
