Dell renews XPS 13 with more USB-C ports and "weight reduction"
Dell has announced the release of the new version of the XPS 13, one of its most popular laptops today. The computer, which will now come with a renewed bet on USB-C technology, does not show great revolutions in the field of design, but introduces new tones: white, pink and gold.
In this 2018 model, the company also ensures that the white variant features an innovative coating, which prevents any type of stain.
As far as features are concerned, users will be able to rely on a fingerprint sensor integrated in a chassis 30% thinner than the previous model. The 4K display is framed in a set of thin frames that accommodates the webcam in the lower zone.Inside, an 8th generation Intel (i5 or i7) processor, a RAM of up to 16GB and the internal storage, SSD, can be up to 512GB, depending on the configuration. The graphics card is an Intel UHD Graphics 620.The available ports are mostly USB-C (3), but there is an adapter for USB-A in the box. In addition there is also a USB 3.1 port. Two of the USB-C ports integrate PCI-E lines, which can be used to add external graphics without major complications.Another of the novelties is the expansion of the integrated battery, which now has an autonomy of up to 19 hours. The laptop is available starting this Friday, January 5, at Dell and Microsoft online stores starting at $ 999.
