Firefox Quantum is already a Chrome threat in the "battle of the browsers"
A greater speed and more stability were the arguments presented by Mozilla when launching New Firefox v57 or Quantum, last November and, given the data revealed now, it seems that the search engine is fulfilling expectations.According to the company, Quantum is already used by 170 million people and, compared to the same period in 2016, has already had a further 44% of downloads by Chrome users.New advances in Firefox, such as speed doubling and the use of less 30% memory than Chrome, also led to improvements in smartphone results, where there was a 24% increase in downloads.Mark Mayo, senior vice president for Firefox, had already shown the intention to go "behind" competitor Google."The truth is that Google has developed a better browser than ours and has been overcoming us over the last five years. So the way we've managed to come back to beat them was to build a better browser than theirs ".The new Firefox now available for download and can be downloaded (https://www.mozilla.org/pt-PT/.)
