Odyssey was made to play real games
Famous in the smartphone segment, Samsung has decided to enter the gaming notebook segment this year. Its first representative is Odyssey, which came on the market in variants with Intel Core i5 and i7, both of seventh generation. The handsets have an average price of 4,499 reais to 4,999 reais today. Check out our review of the product below.

Design
The Odyssey is a 15.6-inch widescreen notebook with Full HD resolution. Like every gamer machine, it is not the thinnest or most portable laptop. It is thick and heavy (2.52 kg). The idea is that the device is a mobile station for games, but is constantly accommodated in one place, just like your video game.
The black and red colors predominate in the device. The Odyssey logo, located on the back of the notebook, lights up red when we turn on the notebook, which catches the eye of those who look at it.
The keyboard is backlit, with the WASD keys highlighted, and the trackpad has a bold look and good usability. Of course, you may prefer a high-precision mouse to play, but the trackpad may be more than enough for all the other activities you do on your computer.

Configuration
The Odyssey has Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU, with 4 GB of dedicated memory. With this, the device can run most games of medium quality (being especially good for lighter titles, such as League of Legends), but does not have support for virtual reality games - feature of the 1050Ti variant.
Game performance is great for a beginner or casual gamer. Professional or high-level players will probably prefer to build their own computer, leaving aside the practicality of a notebook.
Although it comes with a large 1TB memory, the consumer can put an SSD into the machine for the OS installation, which should help improve overall machine performance.
The factory default RAM is 8 GB (DDR4), but can be expanded to up to 32 GB.

Drums
The Odyssey battery life was 3 hours and 30 minutes for video playback. In games, the average time was 3 hours. This means that you always have to carry the product charger with you.

Worth it?
The Samsung Odyssey can be a great buy for those who are looking for their first computer with dedicated memory GPU and do not give up a product with state-of-the-art configuration. It is not a lightweight device, but it can help you make the first contact with more sophisticated PC games such as Doom, Mortal Kombat X or GTA V. Despite the high cost of the product, you can save money on buying online games in platforms such as Valve's Steam, or EA's Origin.
