Canon announced this week the launch of two new home printers that materialize a bet on simplicity and quality. In a statement, the brand features the new Pixma A2450 and A2460 as "economical, compact, stylish and easy to use".Designed specifically for photography, these new printers are able to produce 4x6 "borderless images with strong, vivid colors in as little as 65 seconds.In the range of additional features, the company also highlights the automatic on and off mode, which reduces energy costs to a minimum when the equipment is not in use, and the paper detection sensors, which simplify operation by notifying the the stock status in advance.There is also Wi-Fi connectivity, which enables direct printing of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets (via app), and the unique functionality of the A2460, Canon Smartphone Capture, which allows the user to shoot documents and print them directly from their smartphone as if they were PDFs.

The dedicated app also creates the ability to copy digital documents, but there's a physical grid that lets you do it "the old fashioned way."
Note that although there are several ink cartridges compatible with this machine, Canon advises the use of XL versions developed by the brand itself. The company ensures that these have the ability to print (approximately) up to 2.2 times more than a normal cartridge.
